Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing systems for agent operability by breaking down legacy monolithic architectures into modular, agent-navigable systems with well-defined boundaries and explicit single responsibilities. You will drive phased modernization using the Strangler Pattern and champion SOLID principles, Dependency Injection, and Hexagonal Architecture to support deterministic AI execution and reduce regression exposure. Additionally, you will design and manage the agent context layer and own contract-first API design to facilitate autonomous agent execution. Key Responsibilities: - Design systems for agent operability by breaking down legacy monolithic architectures into modular, agent-navigable systems - Drive phased modernization using the Strangler Pattern and champion SOLID principles, Dependency Injection, and Hexagonal Architecture - Design and manage the agent context layer, including standardized Skills, Rules, and Commands that power AI-driven engineering workflows - Develop and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that surface legacy APIs, services, and databases as typed, secure, AI-ready tools - Serve as the architectural authority over AI-generated pull requests, ensuring scalability, security, and long-term code health - Establish test-driven development (TDD) and characterization testing as non-negotiable practices - Continuously monitor and tune agentic reasoning pipelines to optimize for cost efficiency, execution speed, and architectural soundness Qualifications Required: - 15+ years of experience in software architecture, platform engineering, or senior technical leadership - Track record of successfully modernizing complex, under-documented legacy systems - Deep hands-on proficiency with TypeScript, .NET, and Node.js - Strong foundation in API design, distributed systems, and modular software architecture - Practical familiarity with agentic development workflows, MCP, LLM tooling, or AI-augmented engineering - Strong inclination toward clean, deterministic, production-ready code Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing systems for agent operability by breaking down legacy monolithic architectures into modular, agent-navigable systems with well-defined boundaries and explicit single responsibilities.
