Application Specialist (C .NET)

Role Overview: As part of the Business Platform team in EMEA at WPP, you will be responsible for supporting and facilitating the applications and services that are integral to the media business flows in the local markets. Your role will be crucial in ensuring business continuity in the market and supporting local IT personnel in handling the IT needs and problems faced by customer-facing employees. Key Responsibilities: - Develop standalone and integrated solutions utilizing cloud technologies. - Identify opportunities for reuse and standardization to ensure efficient building and maintenance of solutions. - Collaborate with a small team to deliver cloud-based solutions to various stakeholders and business units. - Analyze business requirements to design and implement necessary technical solutions. - Determine the most effective way to implement required technical solutions. - Identify areas for code and process enhancements. - Design solutions and working practices in collaboration with the team. - Explore new technologies to enhance team and organizational capabilities. - Work closely with engineering and QA resources to support ongoing development. - Provide support to Product Owner & Technical Lead by suggesting system efficiencies and functionality enhancements. Qualifications Required: - Education: A combination of education and experience enabling you to meet essential duties and required competencies. - Personality and Working Practice: Team player with excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to see the big picture. Essential Experience and Knowledge: - 5+ years of software development using C#, .NET, and .NET Web API. - 2+ years of cloud-native application development and continuous delivery patterns (Azure). - Proficiency in SQL technologies. - Understanding of Message Based Architectures. - Design and development of APIs and documentation (REST, OpenAPI, GraphQL). - Implementation of authentication and authorization methods and technologies. - Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban). - Familiarity with established design patterns and principles. - Writing automated tests (Unit, Component, Integration, and/or E2E tests). Desirable Experience and Knowledge: - API Integrations (M365 JS API / SharePoint / Graph API). - Blazor. - Entity Framework. - Testing as an established way of work. - Language Skills: Proficient in English, knowledge of any other language is a plus.
