About the role
As a part of the Thingtrax team, you will be contributing to the development of an Agentic Manufacturing Operations platform that aims to revolutionize factory operations by leveraging AI-powered agents to enable real-time observation, reasoning, and action on production lines. By partnering closely with manufacturers, specifically in the food and beverage industry, you will play a key role in reducing waste, enhancing quality, and transitioning towards autonomous and optimized operations. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and optimize computer vision algorithms tailored for real-time applications within manufacturing processes. - Implement GPU-accelerated solutions utilizing frameworks like CUDA and OpenCL to achieve superior performance. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate vision systems with hardware and cloud services. - Perform performance profiling, benchmarking, and optimization implementations for image processing tasks. - Stay abreast of the latest developments in computer vision, image processing, and deep learning and apply them effectively. - Assist in model training and deployment on edge devices and cloud environments. - Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to vision systems. - Maintain detailed documentation of algorithms, architectures, and workflows. - Provide mentorship to junior engineers when necessary and actively contribute to a cohesive team environment. - Engage in Agile development practices including sprint planning and retrospectives. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in computer vision and image processing, emphasizing real-time applications. - Proficiency in programming languages like Python and C/C++; familiarity with embedded programming is advantageous. - Strong expertise in GPU programming utilizing CUDA and/or OpenCL. - Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. - Comprehensive understanding of essential computer vision techniques including image segmentation, object detection, and tracking. - Knowledge of edge computing and deployment frameworks for AI models. - Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git. - Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and keen attention to detail. - Effective communication skills to facilitate collaboration within a team setting. - Prior knowledge of industrial automation and IoT systems is a bonus.
