Project Architect - Mixed Use

Role Overview: As a highly experienced Project Architect for Mixed Use, you will collaborate with the entire studio and lead teams to develop design solutions and coordinate through all phases of a project. You will leverage your industry expertise, design abilities, and technical acumen to drive projects from concept through construction. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the design and delivery for a range of project types, including high-rise, commercial-office building led, or mixed-use. - Lead project meetings and presentations, ensuring clients are adequately briefed on project progress. - Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients program requirements to share with project teams. - Lead communication between project team, clients, contractors, and consultants. - Actively lead project teams of various sizes for successful delivery. - Assist in establishing project budgets and milestone schedules. - Ensure all work is carried out to client requirements and delivered on time. - Anticipate and resolve complex technical and design issues during document preparation and construction. - Collaborate with various stakeholders to meet project objectives. - Provide design and technical guidance to resolve challenges. - Mentor junior staff, ensuring quality of work and clear communication. - Advocate for sustainability commitments and make it an integral part of every project. - Define project sustainability targets, understand clients' ESG goals, and work towards achieving them. - Support sustainability learning and initiatives within the team. - Contribute to business development initiatives and learning programs. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Architecture; Masters degree preferred. - Registered Architect. - Extensive portfolio of work, preferably in Data Centres and various practice areas. - 15+ years of project experience in architectural practice. - Demonstrable experience in large projects with complex stakeholders. - Ability to maintain and build client relationships. - Proven performance in leading design and delivery processes. - Experience in leading, managing, and mentoring project teams. - Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship management skills. - Advanced knowledge of architecture design principles, technical details, material characteristics, building codes, standards, and accessibility requirements. - Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and emotional intelligence. - Passion for design thinking and sustainable design principles. - Accreditation in LEED, WELL, Fitwel, LFA, or other rating systems preferable. - Understanding of leading and achieving net zero projects. - Commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices. - Advanced knowledge of design software including Revit, Rhino, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Navisworks, etc. Additional Company Details: Gensler is a people-first organization committed to enjoying life and delivering best-in-class design.
