Sr. Network Engineer

As a Senior Network Engineer at CAI Software based in Bangalore, you will be an integral part of the global IT Infrastructure team. Your role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on Palo Alto systems and architecture. You will collaborate with a distributed, international team to ensure the high availability, scalability, and security of the company's global network operations. Your responsibilities will also include managing firewalls, monitoring network performance, and contributing to automation efforts in networking and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on Palo Alto systems and architecture. - Manage routing, switching, VPNs, and network segmentation across global offices and cloud environments. - Collaborate with global IT and Security teams to maintain compliance and best practices. - Support integration between on-premises and cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS). - Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, latency, and connectivity issues. - Document network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures. - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and automation efforts in networking and infrastructure. - Ensure network design and operations align with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001. Qualifications Required: - Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Experience: Minimum 5+ years in enterprise networking with a focus on architecture and operations. - Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Palo Alto technologies, network design principles, and enterprise-level architectures. Experience with Checkpoint, Palo Alto, and firewall management. Familiarity with Azure Networking, AWS VPCs, site-to-site VPNs, and hybrid cloud connectivity. Understanding of virtualization, VMs, and Infrastructure as Code concepts. Experience with network monitoring, automation, and scripting tools is a plus. Awareness of security standards and compliance frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 27001. - Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills in English, strong ownership and accountability, analytical thinking, proactive and innovative mindset, and ability to work in a remote, global team environment. The job shift will be roughly 8AM-5PM EST to align working hours with the US, with flexibility for project work.
