ML Architect

As an ML Architect at NIQ, you will be responsible for designing scalable software systems with a focus on quality, performance, and maintainability. Your role will involve leading systems architecture decisions to ensure alignment with business requirements and technical standards. You will collaborate with Research Leads and Product Owners to gather requirements, design ML pipelines, and coordinate software delivery. Additionally, you will create and maintain documentation for various initiatives and participate in design conversations among systems and other Architects/Principal Engineers for critical systems. Key Responsibilities: - Design scalable software systems focusing on quality, performance, and maintainability. - Lead systems architecture decisions to align with business requirements and technical standards. - Collaborate with Research Leads and Product Owners to gather requirements and design ML pipelines. - Create and maintain documentation for team initiatives. - Participate or lead design conversations for critical systems. - Work with stakeholders and Data Science team to design monitoring pipeline strategies. Qualifications: - 10+ years of skilled experience in software development. - 5+ years of experience leading teams and/or systems designs. - Strong foundation in software engineering principles and architecture. - Proficiency in designing software architecture and data pipelines. - Experience with cloud architectures such as Azure, AWS, GCP. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments (SECURE experience is a plus). - Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Nice to Have: - Experience with Python, Machine Learning, or Data Engineering projects. - Experience with data transformations using tools like pandas, spark, arrow, Databricks. - ADOIT or other Architecture documentation tool experience. - Product-oriented mindset.
