About the role
As a Senior Software Architect at Finastra, reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for executing, delivering, and documenting Proof of Concept (PoC) work aligned with a defined framework. Your role will involve contributing to and maintaining a Patterns & Practices (PnP) repository with reference implementations that showcase best practices for software development. You will act as a Technical Evangelist by promoting standards, best practices, and technology roadmaps through engagements like seminars, workshops, codefests, and hackathons. Additionally, you will support a global Architecture & Development community. Your responsibilities and deliverables will include: - Architecting and designing scalable, secure, and high-performing systems using microservices and REST APIs. - Leading the development and integration of applications based on Java Spring Boot. - Defining and enforcing coding standards, design patterns, and best practices. - Conducting code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to architectural guidelines. - Collaborating with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. - Evaluating new tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance system efficiency and reliability. - Providing technical leadership and mentorship to development teams. - Ensuring compliance with security, performance, and scalability requirements. To qualify for this role, you should have: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 914 years of experience in system architecture and enterprise application development. - Strong expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful API design and implementation, Java Spring Boot, cloud platforms (Azure), CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks. - Proficiency in software design principles. - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
