About the role
As a Research Assistant at the Indian School of Business (ISB), you will have the opportunity to assist Professor Deepa Mani in her ongoing research work at the intersection of technology, organization, and society. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and assimilating key research ideas, conducting literature reviews, acquiring and analyzing large datasets, and interpreting and presenting analyses. This role is ideal for candidates interested in pursuing a PhD in leading business schools worldwide. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the faculty in ongoing research work - Review and assimilate key research ideas - Conduct literature reviews - Acquire and analyze large datasets - Interpret and present analyses Qualifications Required: - Masters or higher in data mining or machine learning OR Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Statistics/Mathematics with at least 2 years of experience in Machine Learning, NLP, Document Classification, Topic Modelling, and Information Extraction - Experience with big data systems, concepts, and tools - Strong team player with cross-functional skills - Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL - Knowledge of text mining algorithms, text pre-processing, and normalization techniques - Design, implement, and evaluate NLP and LLM-based workflows - Excellent problem-solving skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Exposure to economic problems and econometric techniques desirable - Motivation to learn and strong work ethic In addition to competitive salary and benefits, ISB provides a research-focused environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth.
