Job Summary: .Net/Full Stack Developer – Jackson, MS
About the Role
Join the Mississippi Department of Finance & Administration as a Full Stack Developer, taking ownership of complex application development and modernization projects. As a senior contributor, you will leverage your deep expertise in .NET technologies to upgrade, secure, and optimize mission-critical systems impacting state operations. This is a 12+ month onsite opportunity in Jackson, MS, offering mentorship roles, challenging technical assignments, and the chance to shape next-generation solutions for public sector services.
Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and upgrade of multiple enterprise applications to the latest .NET CORE standards

Drive improvements in application performance, security, and functionality through hands-on coding and architectural guidance

Execute database upgrades, optimization, and schema changes for enhanced system capabilities

Analyze and solve complex technical problems with a solutions-oriented mindset
-
Ensure application and database security, privacy, and compliance across all deliverables
-
Mentor and transfer knowledge to junior team members, fostering skill development
-
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing

Required Skills and Experience

Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited institution

Seven or more years of hands-on application development in multiple programming languages
-
Five or more years' experience in database design and administration

Strong expertise in application/database security, privacy, and compliance

Advanced proficiency in VB.NET, .NET Framework, .NET CORE, and C#
-
In-depth knowledge of SQL and SQL database management
-
Proficient with IIS configuration and Windows Server (2016–2025)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation and knowledge transfer
