Job Summary: IAM Solutions Architect – AI Identity and Security | Chicago, IL (Remote Eligible)

About the Role

Join a forward-thinking team as an IAM Solutions Architect, where you’ll shape secure AI deployments and design advanced identity models for next-generation applications. This hands-on role focuses on architecting, designing, and implementing dynamic identity solutions—empowering AI agents to act securely on behalf of users. Collaborate closely with AI and IAM teams to deliver robust, scalable security frameworks in a rapidly evolving cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement identity solutions for AI agents, including authentication, authorization, and dynamic provisioning.

• Define and enforce identity models for seamless agent-to-system and user-to-agent interactions.

• Design and secure managed identities, service principals, and machine identity life cycles.

• Evaluate, deploy, and secure AI systems (LLMs, agents, APIs) with a focus on least-privilege access.

• Partner with AI and IAM teams to validate security models and deployment processes.

• Apply deep knowledge of Azure AD/Entra ID and Active Directory to optimize access control and group design.

• Analyze, recommend, and implement OAuth 2.0 token flows and fine-grained authorization methods.

• Stay current on AI trends and security implications, contributing to best practices and risk mitigation strategies.

• Required Skills and Experience

• Proven IAM expertise with Entra ID/Azure AD (critical), Active Directory (cloud and on-prem), RBAC, access models, and group design.

• Advanced Azure Cloud experience; AWS/GCP is valued but less preferred.

• Strong understanding of non-human identity life cycles, managed identities, and service principals.

• Deep knowledge of authentication and security protocols, including OAuth 2.0 and token flows.

• Exposure to AI concepts and deployments (beyond basic usage), with the ability to discuss terminology, agents, and LLM security.

• Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

• Preferred Skills

• Experience designing secure AI/ML environments.

• Professional experience with multiple cloud providers.

• Familiarity with emerging AI security frameworks and standards.
