About the role
[About the Role] Join our innovative team as an Information Technology - Software Engineer supporting the Advanced Center for Experimentation and Simulation (ACES) program in Orlando, FL. As an integral part of our mission-focused group, you will help deliver cutting-edge training solutions for command and battle staff using advanced live, virtual, and constructive simulation systems. Your expertise will drive the development of a web app-based front-end control, making a direct impact on how military personnel train and operate.
[Responsibilities]
- Plan, coordinate, and execute full-cycle software development activities for mission-critical applications
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug software solutions addressing logical and mathematical business challenges
- Apply industry standards, best practices, and modern processes throughout the software development life cycle
- Collaborate with users and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure high-quality solutions
- Diagnose and correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, and maintain robust documentation
- Analyze system capabilities to resolve questions regarding program intent, output, input acquisition, and control
- Uphold and enforce software quality and performance standards
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline
- 15 years of professional experience as a software engineer
- Proficient in Java, Javascript, Typescript, Angular
- Hands-on experience with GitLab or similar CI/CD tools
- Working knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems
[Preferred Skills]
- Ability to quickly learn and implement new tools and programming languages
- Experience integrating emerging technologies into established software programs
- Skilled in designing and developing GUI-based applications
- Familiarity with live, virtual, and constructive simulation environments
