Indotronix is seeking an Onsite Job: Satellite Systems Software Engineer Level 5

Work Location: El Segundo, CA Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 AM 4:30 PM) Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance Required

Job Description:

Develop and maintain requirements, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for high-performance Command and Control (C2) software solutions.

Lead software development activities using Scaled Agile methodologies within a DevSecOps environment.

Integrate software components into fully functional satellite software systems.

Support customer demonstrations, technical reviews, and program/IPT leadership briefings.

Perform Product Owner and Technical Leadership responsibilities for software products.

Provide software architecture, design guidance, and technical direction.

Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) by managing development schedules, integration efforts, and cost baselines.

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver mission-critical satellite software solutions.

Must Haves:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Data Science, or related STEM field .

14+ years of related experience (or Bachelor's Degree with 18+ years of directly related experience ).

Active DoD Secret Clearance .

U.S. Citizenship (required to maintain DoD clearance eligibility).

5+ years of experience in systems engineering or software development for space-based or ground-based systems .

3+ years of experience leading software development projects.

3+ years of software development experience using Java, C++, or Python .

Experience with Flight Dynamics, Client Analysis, Satellite Management Systems, or Ground Control Management .

Experience working in Agile and DevSecOps development environments.

Preferred:

Experience as a Product Owner or Technical Lead .

Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases .

Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or ActiveMQ .

Experience with data streaming technologies such as CCSDS .

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes .

Experience designing and implementing GitLab CI/CD pipelines .

Experience supporting FQT, FAT, and SAT testing activities.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline with 14+ years of related experience , or Bachelor's Degree with 18+ years of directly related experience . Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
