SIP Developer (OCCAS) – Contract | Remote, United States
About the Role
Join a dynamic, high-impact team as a SIP Developer specializing in Oracle Communications Cloud Application Server (OCCAS) within a leading OMNIChannel platform. This is a hands-on development role focusing on SIP call orchestration, session management, and seamless integration with enterprise contact center and AI-driven systems. You will drive innovation in real-time communications, ensuring robust, scalable, and compliant voice and recording platforms used by global enterprises.
Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain OCCAS-based SIP applications, focusing on session handling, advanced routing logic, and dialog control
-
Implement SIPREC-based recording flows, multi-stream recording, metadata handling, and troubleshoot complex SIPREC scenarios
-
Integrate SIP solutions with SBC infrastructure, enforce SIP signaling security (TLS/mTLS), and optimize SIP transport reliability
-
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate build/test/deploy, and ensure code quality, security, and safe release strategies
-
Develop and execute comprehensive SIP testing, including unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance/load tests

Provide advanced (L3/L4) production support, perform root cause analysis, incident resolution, and build runbooks for operational excellence

Integrate SIP layer with Amazon Connect, Genesys, and AI/Bot platforms to enable agent-assist, AI-driven routing, and bot-to-agent escalation

Required Skills and Experience
-
Deep hands-on expertise with SIP protocol (RFC 3261), SIPREC, and session management in OCCAS/WebLogic environments
-
Strong Java / J2EE / SIP Servlets development background

Proven experience building SIP call orchestration logic beyond basic SBC/networking configuration

Solid understanding of call flows, SDP, RTP media handling, and SIP dialog/state management
-
Hands-on experience with Oracle OCCAS (or equivalent SIP app server), SBC platforms, and contact center solutions (Amazon Connect, Genesys, Cisco UCCE)

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and AWS
-
Advanced troubleshooting with Wireshark, SIP traces, and observability tools in high-volume, real-time SIP environments

Preferred Skills

Experience with large-scale SIP platforms (multi-cluster OCCAS deployments, 100+ engines)

Knowledge of telecom standards (3GPP, IMS)

Experience integrating AI/ML voice solutions (agent assist, analytics)

Familiarity with PCI or compliance-driven call recording environments
