AWS Solution Architect – Property & Casualty (Onsite)

Location: Plano, TX / San Antonio, TX / Phoenix, AZ / Charlotte, NC (Onsite 4 days/week) Job Type: C2C

About the Role

Join a leading team modernizing mission-critical insurance systems as an AWS Solution Architect focused on resiliency, availability, and enterprise-grade architecture. This high-impact role supports the Property & Casualty (P&C) domain and offers a clear path to technical leadership or management. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, conduct resiliency reviews, and influence the architectural direction of modern policy and claims platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack resiliency and availability assessments for applications, data, and infrastructure

• Develop and enforce scalable, resilient AWS solution reference architectures

• Oversee and execute the Permit to Build (PTB) process, focusing on hardening systems

• Ensure all P&C Policy systems adhere to industry architecture standards

• Identify automation and AI-driven improvement opportunities

• Mentor and guide developers and engineers on best architecture practices

• Partner with business, engineering, and operations teams for end-to-end solution alignment

• Required Skills and Experience

• 3-5+ years of hands-on AWS public cloud experience

• Deep Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain expertise

• Proven experience architecting highly distributed, resilient systems

• Background in applications engineering; strong Java development skills preferred

• Guidewire Insurance Suite experience (Associate certification or hands-on with domain model/policies)

• Strong verbal and written communication; able to influence and lead teams

• Preferred Skills

• OpenShift experience for containerized microservices and modern resiliency patterns

• Desire or experience to grow into a leadership or manager role
