Technical PowerApps Lead Location: Houston, TX Position Overview We are seeking a Technical PowerApps Lead to serve as the senior technical authority for our Microsoft Power Platform environment. This individual will lead the design, development, and delivery of PowerApps solutions while mentoring a team of 5–10 developers and partnering closely with business stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with deep experience in PowerApps and the Microsoft Power Platform who can provide architectural guidance, establish development best practices, and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. In addition to technical leadership, this role requires strong communication skills and the ability to present solutions, roadmaps, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Architecture Serve as the technical lead for PowerApps and Power Platform initiatives across the organization Design and oversee scalable, secure, and maintainable PowerApps solutions Establish development standards, governance frameworks, and best practices Conduct code reviews and ensure solution quality, performance, and maintainability Provide technical guidance on integrations, data architecture, and platform capabilities Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to the Power Platform ecosystem Team Leadership & Mentorship Lead and mentor a team of 5–10 Power Platform developers Provide technical coaching and professional development to junior and mid-level developers Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement Assist team members with technical challenges, troubleshooting, and solution design Support hiring, onboarding, and skill development initiatives as the team grows Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnership Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to understand requirements and identify technology solutions Translate complex technical concepts into clear business-focused communication Lead solution demonstrations, presentations, and architecture discussions with leadership teams Provide technical recommendations and guidance to support strategic business initiatives Act as a trusted advisor between technical teams and business stakeholders Solution Delivery Lead the end-to-end delivery of PowerApps and Power Platform solutions Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to prioritize initiatives Ensure projects are delivered with high quality, scalability, and alignment to business objectives Manage technical risks, dependencies, and solution roadmaps Drive continuous improvement in development processes and delivery practices Required Qualifications 7+ years of software development, application development, or Microsoft Power Platform experience 5+ years of hands-on experience with PowerApps and the Microsoft Power Platform Demonstrated experience serving as a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, Solutions Architect, or similar role Experience mentoring, coaching, and leading development teams Strong understanding of Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Microsoft ecosystem integrations Experience with application architecture, system integrations, and solution design Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to business audiences and executive stakeholders Proven ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions Experience working in Agile development environments Preferred Qualifications Experience with Power BI, Azure services, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics 365 integrations Knowledge of governance, security, and compliance within the Power Platform Experience building enterprise-scale low-code solutions Microsoft Power Platform certifications Experience leading teams in a fast-paced and evolving environment Success Profile Strong technical leader who earns credibility through hands-on expertise Effective mentor who develops and elevates junior developers Excellent communicator capable of influencing both technical and business audiences Strategic thinker who can align technical solutions with business objectives Proactive problem solver who drives technical excellence and continuous improvement Collaborative partner who builds strong relationships across business and technology teams Ideal Candidate Background PowerApps Lead Developer Microsoft Power Platform Technical Lead Power Platform Solutions Architect Senior PowerApps Developer with leadership experience Application Development Lead specializing in the Microsoft ecosystem
