Join a forward-thinking technology team as a Senior ServiceNow Infrastructure Engineer specializing in CMDB Discovery. You will lead innovative solutions for enterprise asset discovery and configuration management across dynamic cloud and on-premises environments. This is a high-impact, hands-on engineering role where your expertise will elevate data quality, cloud visibility, and security posture for a large-scale enterprise. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive the future of CMDB and asset discovery initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize ServiceNow Discovery solutions to identify and track infrastructure, application, cloud, and AI assets within the CMDB.

• Enhance CMDB accuracy by integrating diverse enterprise data sources and ensuring asset relationships and dependencies are reliable and actionable.

• Develop and maintain cloud discovery processes for AWS, Azure, and GCP to maximize visibility of cloud infrastructure and services.

• Build and support integrations between ServiceNow, infrastructure management platforms, asset management tools, and various cloud services.

• Partner with technology teams to discover, track, and govern AI-related assets as part of the broader CMDB strategy.

• Support security initiatives by improving asset inventory accuracy for vulnerability management and risk reduction.

• Serve as Tier 3 escalation point for advanced technical challenges, mentoring peers and advocating for engineering best practices.

• Evaluate and implement new automation and discovery methods to continually improve operational effectiveness.

• Required Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of infrastructure, systems, or platform engineering experience with a focus on developing and integrating solutions.

• Proven expertise implementing and supporting ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, and related infrastructure management processes.

• Strong cloud platform experience—AWS preferred, Azure or GCP also valuable.

• Hands-on experience with discovery and management of cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

• In-depth understanding of CMDB architecture, service mapping, and automated asset discovery.

• Solid grounding in networking protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls).

• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux systems administration.

• Experience designing integrations between enterprise platforms and infrastructure tools.

• Familiarity with vulnerability management and the role of CMDB data in security operations.

• Preferred Skills

• ServiceNow Certification (preferred)

• ITIL Certification (preferred)

• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) highly desirable

• Experience with JAMF, Microsoft SCCM/MECM, or other endpoint/asset management platforms

• Exposure to application development, scripting, or building custom ServiceNow apps

• Understanding of AI asset governance or emerging technology discovery
