Responsibilities

Act as a technical authority for multiple enterprise Java applications, driving end-to-end design, development, and operational support

Partner with business analysts, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, high-performance, event-driven solutions

Modernize core business applications, migrating from legacy mainframe to distributed cloud-based architectures (AWS)

Build and optimize Spring Boot-based microservices with multithreading and messaging (Kafka)
-
Ensure high system resiliency, scalability, and compliance with risk and control processes

Work with Angular 17+ to deliver modern, user-centric front-end experiences (highly desired)

Implement and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines with Maven, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Tune application and database performance (Aurora PostgreSQL, Redis, Liquibase), ensuring seamless, high-throughput operations

Troubleshoot, test, and support production systems in a highly regulated, mission-critical environment

Continuously learn and apply new technologies, contributing to knowledge sharing and process improvement within the team

Required Skills and Experience
-
Minimum 6 years’ experience with enterprise-level Java development (Java 17+), including advanced multithreading
-
Extensive expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, and Maven multi-module projects

Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and message processing (Kafka or similar)

Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud platforms (AWS highly preferred)

Strong skills in CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices

Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery with a track record of rapid iteration (2-week sprints)

Deep understanding of transactional processing, security, and highly resilient system design

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Angular 17+ experience (highly sought after)

Experience with Aurora PostgreSQL, Redis, Spring Cache, Liquibase, and database partitioning

Exposure to multi-region, highly available cloud deployments

Hands-on with OpenShift, Helm charts, and advanced cloud-native tools
