Location: Malvern, PA, Plano, TX, Charlotte, NC, or Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid: 3 days onsite)

Responsibilities

• Operate, support, and maintain the Akamai platform, ensuring optimal performance of edge services.

• Configure, manage, and enhance Akamai solutions, including routing, security controls, and edge properties.

• Design and implement automation solutions using Python, Golang, Terraform, or similar tools.

• Integrate Akamai with CI/CD pipelines, leveraging APIs and infrastructure-as-code practices.

• Facilitate seamless onboarding of new applications to the Akamai platform, ensuring compliance with standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues impacting application performance, availability, and security.

• Collaborate with application, network, and security teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

• Drive continuous improvement of operational workflows and process enhancements.

• Participate in pair development and knowledge sharing to foster team growth.

• Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

• 3–5+ years of experience in network engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.

• Direct hands-on experience with CDN, edge, or application delivery platforms; Akamai exposure required.

• Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Terraform, or similar).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

• Experience with API-based automation.

• Preferred Skills

• Experience with Akamai Property Manager, Edge DNS, WAF, DDoS, or Bot Management.

• Knowledge of DNS and certificate lifecycle management.

• Familiarity with policy-driven automation and validation checks.

• Understanding of Agile delivery and enterprise change management.
