Position Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards.

Develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities for systems integrations.

Develop, document, and maintain architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products.

Participate in the agile software development lifecycle including planning, reviews, and supporting customer meetings.

Debug and resolve issues identified to ensure reliability and efficiency of software products.

Perform software development, participate in code reviews, and adhere to guidance on software standards and design principles.

Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development.

Develop, establish, monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics that align with organization goals and industry benchmarks.

Execute and document software research and development projects.

Advise on software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.

Required Skills:

Bachelor's Degree.

5+ years of experience in software development.

Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, JavaScript) and familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).

Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including systems engineers, hardware engineers, and program managers.

Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and system-level validation in complex software environments.

Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (Interim prestart, final post start).

Preferred Skills:

5+ years of experience developing complex software applications and algorithmic solutions.

5+ years of experience leading software development.

5+ years of experience with modern programming and scripting languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, Visual Basic.

1+ years of experience in a cloud computing environment e.g. Azure/AWS/Google Cloud.

Knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies. Ability to synthesize software architectures and designs that meet requirements, characteristics and constraints.

Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
