Business Analyst-Motor LOB

Role & responsibilities *Lead end-to-end requirement gathering, analysis, prioritisation and CR management for Motor LOB technology initiatives. *Own business analysis delivery across Motor UW, OEM & Digital/Broking integrations, Banking & Central Operations, Bancassurance, Commission, DWH and Motor Claims. *Evaluate existing systems, processes and integration journeys; identify impact areas and document business/technical changes clearly. *Prepare BRD/FRD, process notes, test scenarios, UAT plans, sign-off documents and project annexures/evidence for governance and audit needs. *Provide requirement walkthroughs to development, QA, vendor and business teams; ensure development is aligned to approved BRD/FRD. *Coordinate with internal development teams and external vendors for estimation, solutioning, build, SIT, UAT, deployment and post-production support. * Work closely with QA teams to ensure business-critical test cases are executed, defects are tracked, and release quality is maintained. *Facilitate UAT with business stakeholders, manage defect triage, ensure timely sign-off and support production rollouts. *Manage project plans, priorities, schedules, dependencies risks, status updates and PMO reporting for leadership and business reviews. * Represent Technology as Motor LOB SPOC for product deliveries, regulatory changes, platform enhancements, issue resolution and stakeholder communication. *Lead resource allocation, day-to-day team governance, performance inputs, capability development, hiring identification and mentoring of BA/support resources. *Support end users including business, sales and ground teams through training, queries, hands-on support, issue analysis and continuous improvement. *Drive regulatory/compliance implementations such as Motor CIS, co-terminus, long-term products, IDV logic, Vahan/IIB enhancements and block double insurance controls. *Deliver strategic initiatives including A2K framework enhancements, new product launches, OEM/marketplace APIs, payment router, CD portal, claims automation, OCR/video streaming and Power BI dashboards. Skills & Competencies: *Strong General Insurance and Motor Insurance domain knowledge covering underwriting, issuance, renewals, endorsements, claims, payments, commissions and partner integrations. *Excellent requirement elicitation, analytical reasoning, impact assessment and problem-solving abilities. *Proficiency in BRD/FRD creation, process documentation, UAT planning, defect management and release governance. *Good understanding of APIs, digital journeys, partner/OEM integrations, payment flows, regulatory implementation and data/reporting requirements. *Awareness of Agile and Waterfall methodologies with ability to manage multiple parallel projects/CRs. *Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to conduct walkthroughs, stakeholder updates and management presentations. *Strong MS Office skills including Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Power BI/SQL exposure preferred. *People leadership, mentoring, stakeholder management, negotiation, prioritization and conflict-resolution skills. *Quality-focused mindset with attention to detail, audit readiness and customer/user orientation.
