About the role
As a Support Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in providing fast and effective support to clients facing hardware and software issues. Your extensive knowledge of home and office systems, coupled with your problem-solving skills and high-level interpersonal abilities, will be key to ensuring our clients receive top-class support. Key Responsibilities: - Respond to client support requests promptly. - Contact clients to identify the nature of the problem. - Travel to client's location or connect remotely to troubleshoot issues. - Install and maintain hardware and computer peripherals. - Upgrade operating systems and software as needed. - Troubleshoot networking and connection issues. - Provide recommendations on software or hardware upgrades. - Offer basic training in computer operation and management. - Prepare job reports and manage supply orders. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology. - Proven work experience as a desktop support engineer or support technician. - Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals. - Familiarity with popular operating systems, software applications, and remote connection systems. - Proficiency in solving complex hardware and software issues. - Willingness to travel and work after hours when necessary. - Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. This role requires a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 8 years of experience in the field.
