Software Engineer

As an experienced SDET, your role will involve designing, architecting, and enhancing scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks from scratch for both UI and API layers. You will be responsible for authoring, reviewing, and maintaining highly reliable automation scripts using Selenium with Java or Python. Additionally, you will architect and execute comprehensive API automation suites to ensure high test coverage, performance, and data validation across microservices. Your responsibilities will also include integrating automated test suites into continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to support a seamless DevOps lifecycle. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA peers to identify automation candidates, define test strategies, and minimize manual testing overhead. In case of automation failures, your role will involve debugging complex issues, isolating root causes, logging detailed defects, and working closely with engineering teams to ensure swift resolution. Furthermore, you will be expected to establish coding standards for automation scripts, conduct code reviews for test code, and mentor junior QA engineers to maintain quality standards within the team. Qualifications required for this role include: - Core experience of 6+ years as an SDET with a primary focus on automation engineering. - Advanced proficiency in Java or Python for writing clean, reusable, object-oriented code. - Extensive hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, preferably with experience in Page Object Model (POM) or BDD frameworks like Cucumber/Behave. - Strong expertise in automating RESTful APIs using tools/libraries such as RestAssured, Postman, Requests (Python), or similar frameworks. - Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases for test data validation and experience with version control systems like Git. - Familiarity with build tools (Maven, Gradle) and CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions).
