About the role

You live for code and you'd rather go deep on new technology than just talk about it? You want to build products that real people actually use, not push tickets around a board? Then read on. Who we are We're a German product company small, exceptionally sharp, and well-funded. We ship fast, we hate bureaucracy, and we make decisions in minutes, not weeks. Our flagship, epap , is a smart personal-finance app with a best-in-class receipt scanner and a live, growing user base. Right now we're building our second product from scratch — an AI-powered app, currently in stealth — and you'd be a big part of making it real. Around our products we run a handful of focused client projects, but make no mistake: product is the heart of everything we do. Your role — the lead engineer's right hand You'll work side by side with our lead engineer , owning backend and full-stack work across the portfolio — and growing into building our new product's backend greenfield . Real ownership from day one, real autonomy, real impact. This is a seat for someone who wants to build, not coast. What you'll actually work with Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS , Express.js , serverless on Google Cloud (Cloud Functions / Cloud Run) Firebase architecture and SQL (MySQL / Postgres) Don't tick every box? Doesn't matter. We care that you master new things fast — not that you've seen all of these before. We're AI-native — and this one's non-negotiable We lean on using AI coding tools ( Claude Code ) heavily, and we expect you to do the same at a high level — using AI to move faster and crack harder problems, not as a crutch. If you already build this way, you'll feel right at home. If you're not there yet but learn fast, show us. What we're really looking for (this matters more than your CV) Seriously smart. Real problem-solving horsepower — we'll test it with an actual problem from our codebase, not brain-teasers. Autonomous & confident. You take challenges head-on and don't wait to be handed everything. Growth mindset. "I haven't used that stack yet" is never a reason not to — you figure it out. Highly proficient communicator in English. ~3–4 years of solid experience. Cloud is a plus, not a must. Introvert or extrovert? We don't care — what counts is how you think and what you ship. What's in it for you A German company — you join our team on-site in Tricity (Mohali / Chandigarh) so you ramp fast and build real ownership; once you're fully up to speed (a few months in), we're open to hybrid (e.g. ~3 of 5 days in office). Travel to Germany / Europe over time, to meet the wider team. Compensation significantly above market for your level — we pay for talent, and we mean it. Flat hierarchy, fast decisions, and the rare chance to help build a product from zero . Sounds like you? Send your CV (with GitHub / project links if you have them) and, in 3–4 sentences , tell us: the hardest technical problem you've solved recently — and how you used AI tooling to crack it. Even better — record a short 60–90 second video of yourself answering that same question, and add 2-3 project references . Neither is mandatory — but the video is the fastest way for us to get to know you: we work day to day in English with our team in Germany, so we'd genuinely love to hear you talk through it.

One address, no account. We’ll tell you when matching roles go live.
