Head of Digital Transformation & Automation

About the Job: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Digital Transformation (IT/OT Lead) to join our expanding Electronics Manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for providing Technology direction & Change leadership, driving change management, Technology requirements refining, process excellence, to positively impact the business. This includes but is not limited to championing technology solutions implementation, development of system usage & adoption metrics and management reporting, establishment, defining technology focused continuous improvement of systems, processes working closely with the Corporate IT teams. The role will lead the digital strategy for our electronics manufacturing facility. Your mandate is two-fold: responsible for modernizing our digital posture and driving a culture of technology innovation across the entire business lifecycle from procurement to shipment. You are equally responsible for spearheading the scaling of high-speed factory automation. You will bridge the gap between the IT teams and multiple business units across the production life cycle. Core Responsibilities : Applications & Supply Chain Innovation Stay up to date with industry trends and latest technologies, establish and deploy the digitalization roadmap driving ruthless automation of business processes and go-to-market pace. Work closely with respective system owners, collaborate with peers and IT teams to assess viability of new technologies and drive enhancements to existing systems to increase ease of use and efficiency. Establish and roll out a comprehensive digital requirements prioritization process, change management program with respect to Technology deployment pertaining to processes, procedures, methodologies, and systems. Provides oversight of complex projects which require significant expertise in multi-system integration and compliance management to drive simplification. Develop and implement a comprehensive Data strategy, underpinned by an automatic data collection and validation. Closely collaborating with Business Units and IT, identify opportunities to continuously improve Operational processes, focused on ease of use for internal and external technical teams. Change management: lead Operations Technology initiatives, responsible for communication and training workstreams. Automation Throughput: Percentage increase in automated production steps vs. manual Key Skills Demonstrated ability to act as a technology Change Leader and drive technology new ideas / concepts into the business. Experience working with global IT organization with demonstrated ability to influence Senior Leaders and the direction of the business Business Implementation of global systems/processes and business change. Ability to align IT strategies with business objectives and deliver innovative business solutions that drive competitive advantage to Cell Therapy Operations business units Experience of delivering multiple parallel complex Technology programmes. Cross cultural people management and employee engagement. Experience of working in agile teams using SCRUM methodologies. Location & Mode of Work MECs office Singadivakkam, Chennai. Work From Office Desired Experience & Qualifications Experience: 15+ years in IT/Technology leadership, with at least 5 years in a mid-to-large scale manufacturing environment (Electronics preferred). Technical Depth: Strong background in Digital Transformation & Business Process Automation Knowledge & Exposure to Industrial Automation (PLC, Robotics, SCADA). Expertise in ERP/Mfg./Supply Application integration. Leadership: Proven experience managing cross-functional teams of IT, Business, automation engineers & Technology Vendors. Education: Bachelors in information system Bachelor'ss, or Electronics Engineering. Certifications like PMP, CISSP, or Six Sigma are a plus.
