About the role
About the internship: Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Fabricate prototypes, conduct testing, and work with sheet metal and other mechanical structures. 2. Assist in CAD design using SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar tools, including part modeling and basic assemblies. 3. Assemble mechanical enclosures and fixtures while integrating them with PCBs and electronics. 4. Perform rapid prototyping, hands-on testing, and iterate on mechanical tolerances. 5. Collaborate with electrical, industrial, and manufacturing teams for design integration. 6. Validate prototypes with the engineering team and iterate based on test results. 7. Document tests, issues, and contribute to design reviews and release notes. Fresh graduates who have just passed out this year are preferred, as we would like to evaluate and potentially convert strong performers into full-time employees after the internship. 2. CAD tools: SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, or similar. 3. Understanding of mechanical design concepts, tolerances, GD&T, and manufacturing drawings. 4. Basic knowledge of ANSYS, FEA, or other simulation tools is a plus. 5. Familiarity with 3D printing and rapid prototyping workflows. Bonus: Experience with enclosure design, EV battery housings, or integrating mechanical parts with electronics/embedded systems.
