About the role
Position: Architect - Cloud and Data Engineering Purpose of the Position: Purpose of this role is to drive Cloud & Data Engineering competency at Infocepts. Major responsibilities under this role would be to engage with clients to architect solutions, advance capabilities, drive research & experimentation and nurture talent in cloud & data engineering. Work and Technical Experience: Essential skills: Experience in D&A specifically in Microsoft Azure stack Experience in design, architecture and implementation of modern cloud native solutions using Azure Fabric ecosystem OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory, Purview among host of other services. Deep expertise in building scalable enterprise grade modern data pipelines, data organization, data modelling, for variety of analytical workloads specifically in Microsoft Azure ecosystem Proficiency in AI infused data engineering with effective use of GenAI, LLMs, MCPs, Agents Hands-on with Spark–based and notebook driven data engineering Experience of designing and implementing domain driven architecture, data mesh and data fabric architectural patterns Diverse D&A experiences including green field Fabric implementation, migrations from legacy to Fabric, data products, semantic & context layer design in Microsoft Azure ecosystem Proficiency in supporting presales and solutioning with experience in conducting discovery workshops, whiteboarding sessions, building architectural blueprints and estimations for large programs Demonstrable thought leadership through blogs, white papers and presentations in D&A events Desirable Skills: Well versed with data management practices such as data quality management, data cataloging and data governance in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Well versed in DataOps automation using custom or cloud native services on Azure Well versed with DevSecOps considerations for cloud first data analytics solutions in Azure Sound understanding of cloud infrastructure provision, data observability and Cloud FinOps Demonstrable advisory and consulting experiences for strategic D&A initiatives Sound business appreciation to understand business and functional requirements for solution architecture considerations. Experience in evaluating and comparing multiple cloud data technology choices and making right-fit recommendations in the client context. Working knowledge of frameworks like TOGAF, DAMA Qualifications: 10 to 14 years of experience in data analytics with focus on cloud data technologies Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (master's degree is a plus) Demonstrated continued learning through one or more technical certifications or related methods Qualities: Strong architectural mindset with attention to detail. Ability to enforce standards with diplomacy and influence. Analytical thinker with strong problem‑solving capabilities. Proactive, structured, and disciplined in governance activities. Collaborative, with strong communication across technical and business teams.
