About the role
Position : Data Engineer - Snowflake Location : Mumbai (Andheri East) Type of Employment : Full-Time Purpose of the Position : To design, develop, optimize, and manage Snowflakebased data solutions that support enterprise data warehousing, analytics, and reporting. The role ensures highquality data pipelines, secure data handling, and efficient performance across cloud-based data platforms. Key Result Areas and Activities : Snowflake Data Engineering & Development Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, SQL scripts, and Snowflake objects (schemas, stages, tasks, streams, warehouses). Data Modeling & Architecture Implement dimensional models (star/snowflake schema), optimized warehouse structures, and data ingestion frameworks. Performance Optimization & Data Quality Tune SQL queries, optimize Snowflake compute cost, manage clustering, caching, and ensure data accuracy and reliability. ETL/ELT Development & Integration Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using Snowflake-native features or external tools (ADF, DBT, Airflow, Informatica). Governance, Security & Collaboration Manage role-based access, data sharing, auditing, and collaborate with BI, analytics, and cloud teams to deliver highquality data solutions. Essential Skills : Strong SQL development skills and experience in building complex queries Hands on experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Platform Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT tools, and cloud integrations (Azure/AWS) Understanding of Snowflake components (Warehouses, Streams, Tasks, Stages, Time Travel, Data Sharing) Knowledge of data modeling (star, snowflake, fact/dimension structures) Experience in performance tuning and cost optimization in Snowflake Familiarity with version control systems (Git / Azure DevOps) Desirable Skills : Experience with scripting (Python, Shell) Exposure to DBT or similar transformation frameworks Understanding of CI/CD for data pipelines Knowledge of cloud services (Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, GCP Dataflow) Experience working with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) Qualifications : MIn 5 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or Snowflake development Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or equivalent. Qualities: Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset Detail-oriented with focus on data accuracy and reliability Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work independently Good communication and collaboration skills Ability to work in agile, fast-paced environments
