About the role
Job Responsibilities: Perform fiber optic cable splicing and jointing. Conduct OTDR testing and identify fiber faults. Carry out fiber network maintenance and troubleshooting. Install, commission, and activate fiber optic networks. Perform pole-to-pole fiber cable installation and maintenance. Coordinate with field teams to ensure timely project execution. Ensure maximum network uptime and maintain high service quality. Follow all safety standards during field operations. Requirements: Minimum 1+ years of experience in ISP/Fiber Telecom operations. Hands-on experience with fiber splicing machines and OTDR equipment. Good knowledge of fiber fault detection and network maintenance. Ability to work in the field, including pole-to-pole activities. Immediate joiners are preferred. FTTH (Fiber to the Home) installation and maintenance Fiber optic splicing (Fusion Splicing) OTDR testing and fault analysis Optical Power Meter (OPM) usage Visual Fault Locator (VFL) operation Fiber cable tracing and troubleshooting Fiber fault identification and rectification Joint closure and termination box installation Splitter installation and maintenance FAT (Fiber Access Terminal) installation FDP/FDB (Fiber Distribution Point/Box) installation and maintenance Patch cord and pigtail termination GPON network basics (OLT/ONU/ONT) Reading fiber network diagrams and route maps Customer-end fiber installation and support Preventive maintenance of fiber networks Knowledge of fiber safety standards and best practices Ability to work in field operations and handle emergency breakdowns. .
