Job Description: About the Job You will be leading the quality engineering efforts for complex large scale API ecosystems ensuring that every service we ship is reliable secure and performs at scale In this role you will guide teams on best practices in REST API design and testing champion automation and help shape a culture where quality is everyone s responsibility You ll collaborate closely with architects developers product managers and DevOps engineers to build robust test strategies that keep pace with modern cloud native delivery This is an opportunity to influence technical direction mentor engineers and introduce smarter ways of working using automation metrics and continuous improvement If you enjoy solving intricate integration challenges designing scalable API test frameworks and leading teams toward engineering excellence this role gives you the platform to make a visible impact while growing as a technology leader Key Responsibilities: Lead end to end quality engineering for REST APIs from requirements analysis to production validation for 5 9 years scale projects Design implement and maintain robust API test strategies covering functional integration contract regression and negative testing Drive API test automation frameworks and suites ensuring high coverage reliability and maintainability across services and microservices Collaborate with architects and developers to review API specifications e g Swagger OpenAPI ensuring testability consistency and adherence to standards Define and enforce best practices for API testing automation and quality gates within CI CD pipelines Analyze complex defects and production issues perform root cause analysis and work with cross functional teams to implement long term fixes Mentor and guide junior QA automation engineers on API testing techniques tools and automation patterns Technical Requirements: Extensive experience in API test automation including building and maintaining automation suites for REST APIs Demonstrated ability to define test strategies test plans and quality processes for complex distributed systems Experience integrating automated API tests into CI CD pipelines and working in Agile Scrum environments Strong background in overall Testing practices including test design techniques risk based testing and regression optimization Proven track record of leading small to medium QA automation teams providing technical guidance and code reviews for test assets Ability to analyze logs traces and API responses to quickly diagnose issues and support root cause analysis Additional Responsibilities: Good to Have Skills API design review Contract testing Performance testing CI CD integration Agile methodologies Preferred location Bangalore Hyderabad Pune and Chennai Preferred Skills: Technology->API Testing->Postman,Technology->API Testing->RestAssured
