Role & responsibilities : - Validating Data: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of source data, applying transformation logic, and loading data into target tables - Testing: Perform both manual and automated testing of ETL processes, ensuring that data flows correctly through the system . - Designing Test Strategies: Develop and execute test strategies that validate both functional and non-functional requirements of data pipelines - Collaboration: Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure a sustainable testing approach and troubleshoot any issues that arise These responsibilities require strong technical skills and knowledge of ETL tools and processes Preferred candidate profile: The preferred candidate profile for an ETL Test Engineer typically includes: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS. - Proficiency in SQL and database management. - Solid analytical and problem-solving skills. - Attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Experience with UNIX shell scripting and advanced Informatica concepts. - Desired skills include CSTE, ISTQB certifications. - Desired experience includes relevant degrees and certifications.
