About the role
Informatica Admin+UNIX Primary skills:Technology->Data Management - Data Integration->Informatica,Technology->Open System->UNIX Knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter components (Repository, Integration Service, Designer, Workflow Manager) Strong shell scripting (Bash/Korn) skills Good knowledge of SQL and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) Experience with job scheduling tools (AutoSys/Control-M) Understanding of performance tuning and troubleshooting techniques Preferred Skills Experience with Informatica upgrades and patching Exposure to Informatica Cloud (IICS) Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of data warehousing concepts Basic Python scripting knowledge Informatica Administration Install, configure, and administer Informatica PowerCenter / Informatica Services Manage Repository, Integration Services, and Domain configurations Monitor and maintain ETL workflows, sessions, and batches Perform migrations (Dev QA Prod) and deployments Handle performance tuning and optimization of Informatica jobs Troubleshoot failures, identify root causes, and implement fixes Manage logs, sessions, and workflow recovery UNIX / Linux Support Work with Unix/Linux environments for ETL job execution Develop and maintain shell scripts (Bash/Korn) for automation Monitor system performance, disk usage, and file management Schedule and manage jobs using tools like Cron / AutoSys / Control-M Perform file transfers, backups, and process monitoring Production Support Provide L2/L3 production support for ETL processes Handle incident management, alerts, and SLA compliance Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and preventive actions Ensure high availability and reliability of data pipelines Collaboration & Documentation Work with developers, DBAs, and business teams Maintain technical documentation and runbooks Follow change management and release processes Required Skills & Qualifications Core Skills 25 years of hands-on experience in Informatica Administration Strong experience in Unix/Linux (mandatory) Good understanding of ETL workflows and data integration concepts Experience handling production support environments .
