About the role
We are hiring for P&C Actuarial Consultant locations: Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore. Job Overview Infosys BPM is establishing a dedicated actuarial consulting practice to serve insurance clients globally. This foundational role offers direct client exposure, intellectual variety, and the rare opportunity to shape a growing team from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver P&C pricing projects for insurance and reinsurance clients, covering both personal and commercial lines as engagements arise. Build, review, and challenge rating models, technical price benchmarks, and risk segmentation frameworks. Act as a trusted actuarial point of contact for clients, managing daytoday queries, deliverables, and expectations with professionalism. Support business development activity, including contributing to proposals, presentations, and scoping conversations with prospective clients. Adapt to the needs of a growing practice, taking on reserving, capital, analytics, or other P&C actuarial work as required. Translate complex actuarial outputs into clear insights for technical and nontechnical stakeholders alike. Identify opportunities to improve pricing methods, workflows, and model governance across client engagements. Prepare highquality reports, client presentations, and technical documentation to a consulting standard. Collaborate with internal data, technology, and consulting teams to deliver integrated client solutions. Travel to client sites as required, across India and occasionally internationally. Qualifications & Experience Partly qualified actuary, actively progressing toward fellowship with IFoA, IAI, SoA, or an equivalent recognised body. Minimum 4 years of experience in a P&C actuarial role within insurance, reinsurance, or actuarial consulting. Substantial experience in P&C pricing; background in personal lines, commercial lines, or both. Pricing experience supporting clients in UK, European, or US insurance markets; exposure to Lloyd's or international reinsurance treaty business is a plus. Comfortable operating in clientfacing settings: presenting findings, handling questions, and managing stakeholder relationships. Experience or genuine interest in business development, proposal writing, or commercial conversations. Proficient in Excel and at least one actuarial or analytical programming language; strong data handling skills. Selfdirected and resilient, with the flexibility to take on varied workstreams in a practice that is still being established. Willingness to travel for client engagements when required. Preferred Skills Prior actuarial consulting or advisory experience is a strong advantage. Exposure to reserving, capital modelling, or IFRS 17 in addition to pricing. Experience supporting or leading proposal and business development responses. Familiarity with model governance, documentation standards, and peer review processes. Confident communicator, able to present technical actuarial work clearly to both specialist and nonspecialist audiences. Commercially aware, with genuine curiosity about insurance market dynamics and client business challenges.
