About the role
Role Overview: As a Junior QA Engineer at our company located in Pune, you will be responsible for owning the testing lifecycle to ensure high-quality software delivery. Your role will involve strong skills in manual testing, defect reporting, scenario building, and edge case identification. You will collaborate effectively across teams in a fast-paced environment to drive testing efforts independently. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze requirements to derive comprehensive test scenarios and edge cases - Design and execute test cases for web and mobile applications - Perform functional, regression, usability, and smoke testing - Identify, document, and track defects using Jira with clear and detailed reporting - Manage defect lifecycle and ensure closure - Collaborate closely with developers, BA, and stakeholders for issue resolution - Ensure complete test coverage and high-quality deliverables - Support release cycles and perform regression testing for frequent deployments - Maintain test documentation (test cases, reports, etc.) - Contribute to improving QA processes and best practices Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering or related field - 13 years of experience in Manual Testing - Strong understanding of SDLC & STLC - Hands-on experience with Jira or similar bug-tracking tools - Ability to identify edge cases, negative scenarios, and risk areas - Strong experience in test case design and execution - Good understanding of different testing types (Functional, Regression, UAT, etc.) - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Company Details: Our company specializes in designing modern, intuitive websites and mobile apps to enhance productivity and success for our customers.
