About the role
Mission As a KYC Product Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and continuously improving the Know Your Customer (KYC) experience for both Private Individuals and Business Banking clients. Your mission is to ensure that KYC processes are compliant, efficient, and customer-centric, balancing regulatory requirements with a seamless digital experience. You will drive innovation, identify opportunities for automation and simplification, and collaborate across multiple teams to deliver solutions that create value for customers and the business. By combining regulatory expertise, analytical thinking and strong stakeholder management skills, you will contribute to maintaining and strengthening ING's competitive position in a rapidly evolving financial landscape. About the Team You will join a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to delivering best-in-class customer onboarding and KYC experiences. Your Day to Day Develop, implement, and manage KYC processes for Private Individuals and Business Banking clients, ensuring compliance while delivering an excellent customer experience. Identify improvement opportunities and drive change initiatives based on customer feedback, stakeholder input, business objectives, and regulatory developments. Analyze existing processes, customer journeys, and operational data to create seamless and efficient KYC experiences. Define business requirements and create clear specifications for IT teams, ensuring successful implementation from concept to production. Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, define scope, and balance delivery timelines, effort and business value. Testing activities and support releases to ensure solutions meet quality standards and customer expectations. Identify, assess, and quantify opportunities for new features, automation, digitization and process optimization. Prepare and maintain documentation required by internal policies, external regulations and KYC governance standards. Contribute to customer-facing materials, including sales, support and communication content related to KYC processes. Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes, proactively proposing initiatives that strengthen ING's competitive advantage. Act as third-level support on KYC-related topics. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to Quarterly Business Review (QBR) planning and execution. What You Bring to the Team A university degree in a relevant field. At least 4 years of experience in banking and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar product management, process management or KYC-related role. Strong knowledge of global and local regulatory frameworks, including KYC, AML, FATCA, CRS and industry best practices. Experience designing and improving customer journeys, with a focus on digital services and customer-centric solutions. A passion for innovation and the ability to identify opportunities for automation, simplification and digital transformation. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex situations, identify opportunities and make data-driven decisions. Experience translating business needs into clear requirements, process specifications and business documentation. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet challenging deadlines. Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work effectively across business, compliance, operations and technology teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Romanian. A collaborative mindset, a proactive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment.
