SDET Lead (Delhi)

Job Summary We are looking for a highly experienced Lead SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to drive end-to-end Quality Engineering and Automation strategy across multiple products at Ingenuity Gaming. The ideal candidate will be a strong technical leader with deep expertise in test automation, scalable framework architecture, engineering best practices, and team leadership. This role requires ownership of quality processes, mentoring SDET teams, partnering with Engineering/Product leadership, and ensuring fast, reliable, high-quality product releases. Key Responsibilities Quality Engineering Leadership Define and execute the overall test automation and quality strategy across products Establish QA best practices, engineering standards, and scalable testing processes Help to transition manual QA into Automation Drive shift-left, shift-right, risk-based, and continuous testing approaches Own release quality, test governance, and engineering excellence initiatives Automation Architecture & Engineering Architect, build, and scale enterprise-grade automation frameworks using Java / Python / JavaScript Lead automation across UI, API, Mobile, Backend, Database, and E2E systems Standardize reusable libraries, utilities, reporting layers, and test data frameworks Exposure / expertise to use AI /LLM models / Agenting capabilities in manual testing / automation To work and ensure automation can be used to support test driven development Evaluate and implement tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Rest Assured, PyTest Improve test execution speed, stability, parallelization, and maintainability CI/CD & DevOps Enablement Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab CI) Establish automated quality gates for build, deployment, and release pipelines Partner with DevOps teams for environment reliability and deployment validation Enable quality metrics dashboards and reporting People Leadership & Stakeholder Management Lead, mentor, and grow teams of SDETs / QA Engineers Conduct code reviews, performance coaching, and technical guidance Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Architects, and Business teams Drive sprint planning, capacity planning, hiring support, and roadmap alignment Operational Excellence Track KPIs such as automation coverage, defect leakage, release readiness, flakiness, MTTR Identify quality risks early and provide mitigation plans Improve productivity through innovation, AI-led testing, and process automation Required Skills Strong hands-on coding expertise in Java / Python / JavaScript 8+ years in QA Automation / SDET with leadership experience Deep expertise in Selenium / Playwright / Cypress / Appium Strong API automation experience using Rest Assured / PyTest / Postman Strong understanding of OOPs, Design Patterns, Data Structures, Algorithms Hands-on experience with TestNG / JUnit / PyTest / Robot Framework Advanced CI/CD knowledge with Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab CI Robust database testing skills (SQL / MySQL / MongoDB) Experience in Agile / Scrum / Product engineering environments Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills Good to Have Experience in Game Testing/Automation (Mobile / PC / Console) Performance testing using JMeter / LoadRunner / k6 Exposure to security and penetration testing concepts Docker / Kubernetes / Cloud environments Experience in high-scale product-based organizations Exposure to AI/ML-based test automation tools Why Join Ingenuity Gaming Lead quality transformation for innovative gaming products Build automation systems at scale Work with strong engineering teams Ownership-driven and growth-focused culture Opportunity to shape teams, tools, and processes Ideal Candidate Profile A strategic engineering leader who builds quality culture, scales automation, mentors teams, and drives business impact through technology.
