Network Security Engineer (IP) || Mumbai || 4 year+ || Only Immediate Joiner

Role: IP and Network Security Analyst (Level: L2) Experience: 4+ Years Location: Mumbai/ Navi Mumbai / Pune Job Description: Daily Activities & Responsibilities: Vulnerability Governance: Coordinate and follow up with node owners, vendors, and LAB teams to close security vulnerabilities across IP MPLS, Access IP, Wi-Fi access, FTTH, and IP Support platforms.Hardening & Auditing: Validate device hardening, configuration, and access controls in line with MBSS (Minimum Baseline Security Standards). Document risk and remediation recommendations into GRC frameworks for non-compliance issues.Firewall Management: Approve and review Telco firewall requests in the designated portal. Audit the networking zone, IP addresses, communication matrix, and connectivity pathways before granting approval.Incident Response: Act on real-time security incidents related to Telco nodes routed from the SOC team. Coordinate with NOC and planning teams for immediate incident mitigation.Penetration Testing: Perform infrastructure penetration testing across 4G, 5G, FTTH, AirFiber, and Corporate LAN for telco infrastructure IPs. Analyze network scan results, report exposure to platform owners, and execute re-scans to validate closure.Technical Skill Stack: 4+ years of hands-on experience in IP network security implementation (routing and switching).Strong understanding of routing protocols including BGP, ISIS, and dynamic switching.Practical handling of perimeter defensive tools: Firewalls, Anti-DDoS solutions, and NIDS/IPS/HIDS (including deployment and tuning).Solid grasp of core security protocols: RADIUS, TACACS, SSL, and TLS.Exposure to infrastructure security auditing across operating systems (Linux, Windows, Debian, Ubuntu), open-source landscapes, Docker, Kubernetes, and containers.
