About the role
Role & responsibilities • Lead the day-to-day production and quality assurance of BIM models for rail track, alignment, and formation across viaduct, at-grade, depot, and tunnel environments. • Ensure model outputs comply with the applicable BIM Execution Plan, naming conventions, layering and classification standards, and LOD/LOI requirements. • Administer the Common Data Environment, including file uploads, version control, status codes, and issue and approval workflows in accordance with ISO 19650 principles. • Federate track, structural, systems, and tunnel models in Navisworks and manage clash detection and coordination cycles. • Coordinate with design engineers to ensure design changes are incorporated promptly and tracked through revision control. • Review and approve model deliverables before they are issued to relevant stakeholders. • Track model production against delivery milestones and report progress to management. • Lead BIM coordination meetings and clash-resolution workshops with relevant disciplines. • Support model-based quantity take-offs for track components, including ballast, slabs, rails, and sleepers. • Manage information exchange requirements, EIR compliance, and model submissions across multidisciplinary teams. • Maintain BIM documentation, including production status reports, clash reports, coordination minutes, and issue logs. Preferred candidate profile • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Rail Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. • 810 years of overall experience, including at least 3–5 years in BIM management or coordination roles. • Experience in rail, metro, or other large linear infrastructure is strongly preferred. • Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650 or an equivalent BIM management framework, BIM Execution Plans, and Exchange Information Requirements. • Proficiency in Navisworks Manage for model federation and clash detection, and experience with a Common Data Environment such as Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360. • Working familiarity with Civil 3D and Revit sufficient to review, query, and quality-check models. • Strong coordination, stakeholder management, communication, and reporting skills. • Familiarity with rail track systems, including ballasted track, slab track, and turnouts, is an advantage.
