Senior Test Engineer (UI & API) Java, Playwright/Selenium

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong experience in UI and API test automation using Playwright or Selenium with Java. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable software. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for UI and API testing using Playwright or Selenium with Java. Build scalable and maintainable automation frameworks following best practices (Page Object Model, modular design, reusable libraries, etc.). Develop automated test cases for functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure test coverage. Perform API testing using tools/frameworks such as REST Assured, Postman, or similar. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.). Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to drive resolution. Participate in code reviews, test case reviews, and documentation activities. Continuously improve automation processes, tools, and techniques. Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to quality engineering best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Expertise on SQL and database validation. 7+ years of experience in test automation for UI and APIs. Strong hands-on experience with Java for test automation. Proficiency with Playwright or Selenium WebDriver. Experience with API automation using REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools. Solid understanding of testing concepts, SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience building or contributing to test automation frameworks. Knowledge of version control systems (Git preferred). Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, JBehave). Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure). Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes). Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
