Substation- Structural Engineer

Experience: 6 to 15 Years No. of Positions : 1 Work Location: Bangalore- (Remote) Education Bachelor or master's degree in civil or Structural Engineering Responsibilities Perform structural analysis and design for substation structures including control buildings, equipment foundations, gantries, cable trenches, and steel support structures. Design foundations for electrical equipment such as transformers, reactors, circuit breakers, and GIS/AIS equipment. Load Calculations: Calculating physical forces from wind, snow, ice, and seismic (earthquake) conditions. Prepare and review structural calculations, design drawings, and construction documents. Ensure designs comply with relevant American codes (ASCE, ACI, AISC etc.). Mechanical Components: Specification of insulators and support specifically to meet physical bracing requirements. Hands-on experience with design software such as STAAD, ETABS. Domain: Electrical utilities, Substations, Overhead transmission
