As a Senior Software Development Engineer L4 at Inovalon, you will be expected to successfully work through complex tasks independently and display a strong adherence to fundamental software engineering principles. Your role will involve writing high-quality, testable code that meets team commitments, participating in design and code reviews, creating automated tests, and supporting end-of-iteration demos. Additionally, you will be responsible for integration, testing, and deployment tasks, as well as scoping and estimating product enhancements. Your key responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with team members to write high-quality, testable code - Utilizing a "Test-First" approach to software development - Participating in design and code reviews - Creating automated unit, system, and acceptance tests - Supporting end-of-iteration demos - Designing, implementing, and unit testing software - Fixing software defects - Contributing to team retrospectives - Writing and maintaining documentation - Participating in the change management process - Adhering to confidentiality, HIPAA, and regulatory policies - Participating in an on-call rotation for critical issues Job Requirements: - Minimum 5 years of experience in software development - 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products - 1 year of experience in software design and architecture - Advanced design/debugging/coding skills - Building secure applications and adhering to security standards - Demonstrated high personal integrity and ability to earn trust - Continuously pursuing self-directed learning activities - Ability to anticipate and creatively solve problems - Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Education: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology - Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science preferred Physical Demands and Work Environment: - Sedentary work with occasional force exertion - Subject to inside environmental conditions - Travel required locally (<10%) for training purposes Please note that this position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
