Senior Consultant / Expert (Civil & Maritime)

Work Experience: Over 25 years of professional hands-on experience in planning, design, engineering, and project management of Port, Harbour, Shipyard, and Marine Infrastructure Projects. The candidate shall have successfully led and delivered multiple consultancy assignments involving feasibility studies, Master Planning, Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), Detailed Engineering Design, and construction support for port and shipyard projects. Experience in handling projects for ports, , terminals, shipyards, coastal infrastructure, offshore facilities, and waterfront developments is essential Role & responsibilities The key responsibilities of the Senior Consultant / Expert shall include: Lead and manage consultancy assignments for port, harbour, shipyard, and marine infrastructure projects from project inception through successful completion. Provide technical leadership and guidance for the planning, feasibility assessment, master planning, Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), and detailed engineering design of port and marine infrastructure projects. Lead the engineering design team of the company and review the engineering deliverables prepared for various marine structures including breakwaters, quay walls, berths, jetties, wharves, dolphins, trestles, approach bridges, revetments, seawalls, dry docks, slipways, shipyards, and associated marine facilities. Provide technical guidance for port planning, terminal layout optimization, cargo handling infrastructure, navigation requirements, utility planning, and future expansion of port facilities including compliance with various provisions of Indian Ports Act, 2025. Attend technical meetings with clients, as required for resolution of comments on deliverables. Mentor and develop Senior and junior engineers by providing technical guidance, design reviews, knowledge sharing, and professional development support. Preferred candidate profile Personnel superannuated from concerned port and shipping ministries, maritime boards and other relevant govt. departments / engineering consulting organisations but having specific work experiences as stated below may also apply for any fixed term engagement (6 months to one year)
