Quipment India :: Database Administrator Database Administrator No. of Positions : Total Relevant Experience : 4+ years BE (Computers / IT), MCA, M.Sc. or any equivalent degree Job Description : Hand on experience on PGSQL/ PostgreSQL (minimum 1.5 2 years) & MS SQL (2005, 2008, and 2012) Database Development Database Programming (Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions, SQL Jobs, Packages etc.) Database and Server Management & Administration Data migration between different Database Server Good understanding of Postgres MVCC Architecture Strong experience with PGSQL and MSSQL database administrator Task, like database backup and restore plan, database monitoring in aspect of high performance and high resource availability Experience with database high availability and load balancing concepts Experience with PGSQL table partitioning and its management Experience with PGAgent scheduled job Excellent troubleshooting skills for database transaction lock, deadlock & blocked transaction Good in optimized query writing and database performance optimization Require Skills : Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices Understanding of, and experience with, server- client computing and relational database environments Good understanding of the organizations goals and objectives Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills Technical documentation skills Ability to present ideas in user- friendly language Self- motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high- pressure environment Experience working in a team- oriented, collaborative environment Good written and oral communication skills Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques "In my experience with almost 5 software companies, I have found this company to be the most competitive.
