About the role
As a Desktop Support Engineer, your role involves designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting the organization's computer systems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting desktop hardware and software issues, configuring Outlook, and handling any issues related to Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks, and network segments. Your duties will also include maintaining operating systems, business applications, security tools, web servers, email, laptop, and desktop PCs. Additionally, you will be expected to optimize processes and lead process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, and security updates - Support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments - Interact with the help desk and other teams to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and provide technical support - Perform routine audits of systems, including backups - Ensure network integrity, server deployment, and security - Monitor and maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems - Ensure high-level security and efficiency resulting in 100% output Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field - Proven experience in desktop support and network administration - Strong knowledge of operating systems, business applications, and security tools - Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Company Additional Details: The company offers the following benefits: - Health insurance - Provident Fund Please note that the job may involve working in rotational shifts at the Sriperumbudur location.
