Junior Java Backend Developer

As a Junior Java Backend Developer at Integers.Ai, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend applications using Java. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Strong understanding of Core Java concepts, including OOP principles, Collections, Exception Handling, and Multithreading basics. - Basic knowledge of Spring Boot and REST API development through academic projects, internships, or self-learning. - Familiarity with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL. - Understanding of version control tools such as Git. - Exposure to Maven or Gradle is preferred. - Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn. Good to Have: - Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodology. - Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus. - Familiarity with Docker or containerization concepts is preferred. - Exposure to AI/ML concepts through coursework, internships, certifications, or personal projects. - Familiarity with Generative AI tools and APIs such as OpenAI, Gemini, or similar LLM-based services is a plus. - Basic understanding of concepts such as prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) is desirable. - Experience building or experimenting with AI-powered applications, chatbots, or intelligent assistants will be an advantage. - Willingness to learn and work with emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and developer tools.
