Job Description - Junior Software Engineer Experience 2+ Years Position Summary We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Software Engineer with around 2 years of software development experience to join our product engineering team. The ideal candidate should possess strong software development fundamentals, excellent analytical and logical reasoning skills, and a passion for building high-quality products. The candidate should demonstrate an investigative mindset, inquisitive thinking, and keen analytical observation , with a natural curiosity to understand how systems work and solve problems through research and experimentation. They should be process-driven , make data-informed and evidence-based decisions , leverage AI tools to improve engineering productivity, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced product development environment. Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain software applications under the guidance of senior engineers. Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, development, testing, deployment, and production support. Collaborate effectively with Product, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software. Develop backend services, APIs, and frontend components using modern technologies. Work with databases, APIs, and cloud platforms to build scalable applications. Participate in sprint planning, estimation, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies. Troubleshoot application issues, investigate root causes, and implement effective solutions. Demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks and deliver within agreed timelines. Proactively identify blockers, technical risks, dependencies, and communicate them early with proposed mitigation approaches. Contribute ideas for product improvements, automation, and engineering efficiency. Utilize AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and learning. Continuously learn new technologies and apply them where appropriate. Required Technical Skills Development Fundamentals Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. Good understanding of REST APIs and client-server architecture. Basic understanding of authentication, application security, and software debugging. Backend Basic hands-on knowledge of one or more: Python Java C# Node.js Frontend Basic knowledge of: HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript React or Angular (preferred) Database PostgreSQL Basic SQL and database design concepts Development Tools Git and GitHub Postman Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts Cloud Basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other public cloud platforms. Basic understanding of containerization (Docker) is an advantage. AI Knowledge Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar tools to improve software development productivity. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Around 2 years of hands-on software development experience. Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. Exposure to healthcare or SaaS product development is an added advantage.
