NSE 7 Fortinet Engineer / Architect

You are an experienced and highly skilled Senior Network Security Engineer with a strong expertise in Fortinet Security Solutions. Your primary responsibility will be designing, implementing, managing, and supporting enterprise-grade network security infrastructure, focusing on FortiGate Firewalls, SD-WAN, VPN Technologies, and Security Operations. You must have excellent troubleshooting capabilities, hands-on experience with Fortinet Security Fabric components, and the ability to support large-scale enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities: - Fortinet Security Administration - Deploy, configure, and manage FortiGate Firewalls across enterprise environments. - Administer and maintain FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer platforms. - Configure and manage Security Policies, NAT, IPS, Application Control, Web Filtering, and Threat Protection services. - Perform firewall upgrades, migrations, firmware updates, and vulnerability remediation activities. - Configure and support High Availability (HA) and clustering solutions. - Troubleshoot complex network and security issues and perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA). - SD-WAN & VPN Management - Design, implement, and manage Fortinet SD-WAN solutions. - Configure and troubleshoot IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, and ADVPN deployments. - Optimize WAN connectivity, application performance, and traffic steering policies. - Implement secure remote access solutions and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) frameworks. - Network Security Operations - Monitor security events, alerts, and network performance metrics. - Perform incident response, threat investigation, and security troubleshooting activities. - Ensure compliance with security best practices, policies, and organizational standards. - Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams to maintain a secure and resilient environment. - Routing & Switching - Configure and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF. - Support enterprise LAN/WAN environments and network segmentation initiatives. - Maintain and update technical documentation including HLDs, LLDs, SOPs, and operational procedures. Required Skills & Experience: - 610 years of experience in Network Security Engineering. - Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate Firewalls. - Expertise in FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer administration. - Hands-on experience with Fortinet SD-WAN deployments and troubleshooting. - Strong understanding of VPN technologies including IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, and ADVPN. - Experience with High Availability (HA) and clustering solutions. - Knowledge of routing protocols including BGP and OSPF. - Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Technical Skills: - Experience with FortiAuthenticator, FortiSwitch, and Fortinet Security Fabric solutions. - Exposure to Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA/FTD, or other enterprise security platforms. - Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud security technologies. - Familiarity with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), SASE, and cloud security architectures. - Experience supporting enterprise-scale security environments.
