About the role
Role Overview: As a Senior QA Automation Engineer with 5+ years of experience, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks using Cypress and Selenium WebDriver. Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to ensure high-quality product releases. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress and Selenium WebDriver. - Build and enhance scalable test automation frameworks. - Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. - Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams. - Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps). - Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA. - Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and retrospectives. - Conduct API testing using Postman or RestAssured. - Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing. - Mentor junior QA engineers. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in Software Testing (Manual + Automation). - Strong hands-on experience with Cypress and Selenium WebDriver. - Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (for Cypress) and Java (for Selenium) or equivalent language. - Experience with testing frameworks like Mocha, TestNG, or JUnit. - Good understanding of Page Object Model (POM), BDD (Cucumber), and data-driven frameworks. - Experience with Git and version control systems. - CI/CD pipeline integration experience. - Strong knowledge of SDLC & STLC. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Additional Details: The ideal candidate should also have experience with Playwright, API automation, and performance testing knowledge (JMeter). Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) would be beneficial. Soft skills like strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment, and being detail-oriented with a quality-first mindset are highly valued.
