SAP MDG Lead

Key Responsibilities Master Data Governance Implementation Lead the full lifecycle implementation of SAP MDG for Material, Business Partner, Cost Center, and Profit Center. Conduct requirementgathering workshops, process mapping, and fitgap analysis with business teams. Define and design governance processes, approval workflows, and data maintenance procedures. Develop standardized master data processes aligned with business rules and compliance requirements. Ensure alignment of MDG design with enterprise data governance strategy. Business Process Design & Functional Leadership Translate business requirements into functional specifications and MDG process designs. Define data standards, naming conventions, validation rules, and governance policies. Support the creation of harmonized master data structures across multiple business units. Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Shared Services teams to ensure process consistency. Testing, Deployment & Change Management Prepare process documentation, test scenarios, and training materials. Lead functional testing cycles including Unit Testing, SIT, and UAT. Support cutover planning, data preparation, and golive activities. Provide postgolive stabilization support (limited to hypercare, not longterm support). Stakeholder Engagement Act as the primary functional point of contact for MDG implementation. Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledgetransfer activities. Work closely with project managers, business owners, and data governance teams to ensure successful adoption. Required Experience & Skills Functional Expertise Strong handson experience in SAP MDG implementation (not support). Deep understanding of master data processes for: Material Master Business Partner (Customer/Vendor) Cost Center Profit Center Experience in defining governance workflows, approval processes, and data quality rules. Good understanding of S/4HANA master data concepts and organizational structures. Business & Process Skills Ability to lead workshops and engage with senior business stakeholders. Strong documentation skills for process flows, functional specs, and training materials. Experience in data governance, data quality, and master data harmonization initiatives. Ability to work in crossfunctional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
