About the role
As a React.js Developer at Invesco, your role involves managing complex data engineering, analysis, and programming tasks to support Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit activities. You will be responsible for acquiring, transforming, and managing data, designing data analytics tools, maintaining software packages, and databases. Your role also includes identifying data sources, introducing new tools to business partners, and sharing knowledge with colleagues. Additionally, you will contribute to developing a culture of innovation within the department and raising risk and control awareness across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Acquire, transform, and manage data supporting risk and control-related activities. - Design, build, and maintain data analytics and data science tools. - Maintain programming code, software packages, and databases for ongoing analytics activities. - Exercise judgment in applying data analytics for business processes. - Identify and leverage data analytics capabilities within the firm. - Introduce new data analytics-related tools to business partners. - Support understanding of product logic and system processes. - Share learnings with colleagues. - Contribute to developing a culture of innovation. - Keep departmental leadership informed of activities. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, data management, or software development. - Experience in programming is a plus. - Experience within the financial services sector preferred. - Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred. - MBA or Masters degree in relevant field a plus. - Professional data science, analytics, or development designation preferred. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work autonomously and handle confidential information. - Strong project management skills. - Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, R, Python, and data-related tools. - Familiarity with data extraction, transformation, and load processes (ETL) and database management. - Experience with end-user data analytics software and web application implementation on AWS. - Comfortable working in diverse, cross-functional, and international environments. - Adaptable to changing environments and high professional ethics. Working Conditions: - Potential for up to 10% domestic and international travel.
