About the role
As a Database Administrator at INVIA, you will be responsible for managing MS SQL server databases and ensuring their optimal performance. Your role will involve various key responsibilities including: - Having 5+ years of experience as a SQL DBA. - Performing Health Checks and monitoring using Automated scripts and tools. - Managing User access, Performance tuning, backup and restoration, Recovery, Replication, Clustering, Always On, Log shipping, Compression, Indexing, Partitioning, Disaster recovery. - Capacity planning based on business requirements. - Upgrading/Migrating SQL Servers Instances/Databases. - Strong knowledge of ETL and data warehouse concepts. - Handling large data sets effectively. - Creating / Modifying Linked servers. - Designing and creating database objects like tables, views, procedures, functions as per project requirements. - Understanding applications and analyzing requirements. - Problem-solving and analytical skills. - Working with all versions of MS SQL Server. - Experience in a cloud environment. - Understanding of ITSM processes. - Desirable experience in other data warehouses like Teradata, Hadoop etc. About INVIA: Headquartered in Sydney, Australia, INVIA is a software services firm specializing in delivering top-notch solutions to Telcos worldwide for their enterprise customers.
